Drain Levels

Drain Levels is a tool to help you assess whether or not a desired grade can be achieved on a drainage pipe depending upon the ground levels along its profile.

Simply enter the levels taken on site, enter starting depth and pipe size and the app will draw the profile allowing you to quickly see where any problems may occur.

The grade at any point can be set to follow the currently set grade, change to a new grade or follow ground level. Using this in combination with the starting depth (if possible) will let you see if an acceptable grade can be achieved through flat or undulating ground.

You can enter a minimum cover value that will be drawn to show where a pipe may be laid too shallow.

The depth to the shingle (measured from ground level) can be set to give a very approximate calculation of the volume of stone used to back fill the trench. This is calculated assuming the trench width is exactly the same as the pipe size and in reality this would depend on the machine used to dig the trench and ground conditions.
