Lecthème + - Textes

Description

An interactive application to improve reading in CM1 and CM2.

Developed for quick and easy use, the Lecthème+ Textes application is based on an educational base of 36 literary texts, divided into 4 categories: “Novels, stories”; “Poems, fables”; “Tales, myths”; “My texts”. This last category brings together the texts that you will want to add via the text editor offered in the teacher menu.

Use

3 modes of use are offered:

Discovery: free discovery of texts

Training: the student exercises freely and can call on help.

Test: results are saved. They can be analyzed by the teacher.

Summary

Discovery

The student freely discovers the extract of his choice by displaying the text alone and/or listening to the audio version. Vocabulary words indicated in bold are subject to a popup definition. Additional information on the author and the work is provided for each extract. Possibility of printing all texts and additional documents.

Training and testing

10 exercises to work on fluency, comprehension and grammatical and lexical spelling, available in 2 levels of difficulty.

Read fluently (principle of independent reading)

I read by adding meaning: the excerpt displayed is divided into units of meaning, the student records it, listens to it, validates or starts again (streamline the phrasing).

I read with rhythm: the extract is highlighted word by word according to the selected rhythm (level 1: 110 words/minute; level 2: 130 words/minute), the student records, listens to himself, validates or start again. (pace the reading).

I read by setting the tone: the excerpt displayed is visibly punctuated, the student records, listens, validates or starts again (read expressively).

Understand the text

I understand the general idea of ​​the text: the student answers a series of comprehension questions on the text by clicking on one of the 4 answer suggestions (process explicit and implicit information).

I find the order of the text: the student places the proposed sentences in the order of the text (identify the chronological sequence).

I note the essential ideas of the text: the student checks the sentences which summarize the text (hierarchize the information).

I understand the words in the text: the student finds in a piece of text the word(s) described in the instructions (understand the words in context).

Write the words of the text

I agree the nominal groups: the student completes the text by choosing (level 1) or writing (level 2) the correct agreements in nominal groups (identify the constituent elements of a nominal group and agree them).

I match the verbs: the student completes the text by choosing the correct verb forms (level 1) or by writing them correctly (level 2) (identify the subject to match a verb).

I write the lexicon of the text: the student listens to the sound extract and completes the text by writing the missing words correctly (working on lexical spelling).

Teacher menu

The teacher menu allows you to modify the application settings

Settings for the exercises are possible:

• Adjustment of exercise time

• Changing sound settings.

It also allows you to manage student results: group creation, access to individual reports for each exercise.

The editor allows you to add the texts of your choice, define vocabulary words and record your own audio version.

This editor also allows you to add a personalized exercise to each of your added texts.
