About MTKutility

MTKutility is a maintenance app for Bluetooth capable GPS receivers and loggers that use the MTK (GPS) chip. The devices it supports are GPS receivers (no logging) and GPS loggers, both with or without AGPS. It has been tested on physical phones running Android 4.1, 8.1, 9, 10 and 11.

It supports downloading and clearing the recorded GPS track; converting the download to GPX, KML and CSV file formats; updating the AGPS data; and setting the logger recording parameters.

Please read the help documentation included in the app after you install it. The built in file navigator is not a tap the name interface. Also, the app has settings that let you customize the appearance on your phone and, more importantly, how well the app performs on your phone.

What's new in the latest 5.07

Last updated on 2020-12-08

This release fixes the file access issues introduced by Android 10. Update works flawlessly on my Motorola moto g stylus. Hope your experience is the same. I do not know if this fix will work for Android 11.
