Boasting a stunning design, dazzling picture quality, unmatched brightness, excellent black levels and a wealth of gaming features, the QN900C is every bit as premium as its hefty price tag would suggest. Simply put, if you're looking for the best Mini LED TV out there, look no further than Samsung's QN900C Neo QLED 8K TV.

Samsung's QN900C Neo QLED 8K TV perfectly encapsulates the South Korean company's approach to flagship products, in that it's so stacked with features, some may see it as bordering on overkill.

While other manufacturers have mostly abandoned 8K TV production due to slow adoption from consumers and tighter energy regulations in the EU, Samsung is (for now) refusing to budge, delivering its most advanced 8K television to date in the QN900C.

Here's a TV that doesn't hold back on anything, opting instead to try and give you everything you could possibly want in a flagship set and then some. And, aside from its lack of Dolby Vision support, it pretty much succeeds.

The Samsung QN900C is the latest flagship Neo QLED TV from a brand that has dominated the 8K TV market over the last few years. While not significantly different from last year's QN900B that's hardly surprising given the previous generation was so good. This new model continues the trend of delivering cutting-edge images, and represents the apex of the brand's 2023 line-up.

Aside from the 8K resolution and a Mini LED backlight, this LCD TV includes class-leading local dimming algorithms and state-of-the-art AI-enhanced image processing.

If that wasn’t enough, there’s also the clever One Connect Box, a comprehensive smart platform, an extensive set of gaming features, some stunning industrial design, and an immersive audio system that supports Dolby Atmos. There’s no Dolby Vision, but that’s not a major issue given the QN900C’s HDR capabilities and doesn’t prevent it from being an impressive high-end tech statement.

Even though other TV brands produce 8K TVs, Samsung is the leader in this space and has introduced more 8K TVs than any other brand. This trend continues in 2023 with the release of Samsung's latest flagship model, the QN900C 8K Neo QLED.

A 98-inch model of Samsung QN900C Neo QLED 8K TV will be available later this year, but Samsung is currently shipping the 85-inch (priced at $7,999 MSRP), 75-inch (priced at $6,299.99 MSRP), and 65-inch (priced at $4,999.99 MSRP) versions. In this review, we’ll be talking about the 75-inch model.

Specifications

The standout feature of the Samsung QN900C is its huge 7680 x 4320 pixel resolution, which is four times higher than that of a 4K TV and promises an incredibly sharp and detailed picture. To achieve this, the QN900C uses Quantum Matrix Ultimate backlight technology with 14-bit processing and a Neural Quantum 8K processor that uses machine learning to optimize video and audio performance. The Samsung QN900C is compatible with HDR10, HLG, and HDR10+ formats, but like previous generations, it does not support Dolby Vision. The TV also includes an Auto HDR Remastering feature that enhances standard-definition content using scene-by-scene HDR10+ tone mapping.

The Samsung QN900C is the company’s 2023 high-end 8K Neo QLED TV in its range, which combines a state-of-the-art Mini LED backlight with class-leading image processing that employs AI-enhancements to fully utilise the 33 million pixels in its panel. It's clearly gunning to be one of the best 8K TVs.
