Snake of Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is home to 105 snakes species. The high diversity encompases 11 families. Fifty are endemic including one genera (Aspidura). Twenty are highly venomous and dangerous to human but only five (Common Krait, Sri Lanka Krait, Russell's Viper, Saw Scalled Viper, Cobra) of these are terrestrial while the rest are sea snakes (Sub-family: Hydrophiinae) which has not discussed in this version.
