Sweden's constitution is the four constitutions that regulate Sweden's state. These constitutions are the form of government (RF), the Freedom of the Press Ordinance (TF), the Freedom of Expression Act (YGL) and the succession order (SO). These laws are important for the Swedish state because they contain laws on how Sweden should be governed and protect Swedish democracy [1]. The constitutions function as a basic norm that is superior to other laws and regulations. They constitute a basic plan that the laws of the kingdom must be complied with and also stipulate general provisions on the government and administration of the kingdom.

The Riksdag agenda occupies an intermediate position between the constitution and ordinary law. The Freedom of the Press Ordinance and the Freedom of Expression Act are sometimes referred to as the two so-called media constitutions, as they provide constitutional protection for certain media and publications.
