A Map of Parkinson’s is an innovative, self-study, information and resource course, for Allied Health Professionals and others working with People who have Parkinson’s.

This self-guided course offers a unique opportunity to build Parkinson's specific insight and skills, and work more effectively with people living with the condition. Many online educational resources such as those provided by the International Parkinson and Movement Disorders Society are already available to support the work of Physicians in the diagnosis, assessment and treatment of people with Parkinson’s.

A Map of Parkinson's is a condition-specific course intended to meet the educational interests and needs of non-physicians such as Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Pharmacists, Psychologists and Social Workers. The course has also been designed to suit Residential Care Home Staff and all others who provide services to people living with Parkinson’s and who wish to explore the condition in-depth.

The aim of the course - A Map of Parkinson's - is to introduce each of about 50 symptoms associated with Parkinson's disease and to enable further exploration of any topic or symptom according to each individual's work roles and interests. Students of the course are encouraged to decide the order of study that suits them personally, but to get the full picture are advised to explore all areas of the Parkinson’s landscape.

The amount of time invested in exploring the course modules, and the time spent studying selected further materials indicated, is entirely flexible. The full course can be purchased in a range of Online and APP formats for study on or off line. To complete the course of study and gain access to a Record of Completion, all 8 modules, with a total of 38 subsections, must be viewed.
