Aiyappan also called Sastavu or Sasta, the offspring of Shiva and Vishnu. Lord Ayyappa is the presiding deity of Sabarimala temple. The name "Sri Ayyappan" is used as a respectful form of address in the Malayalam and Tamil languages.
