Dawn is a former Miss South Carolina, 2nd Runner-Up Miss America. She is a record-charting recording artist with Urgent Records, has recorded nine albums and written two books. Dawn speaks and sings at up to 75 events annually.

BIOGRAPHY

In 1985 Dawn's sister Shari was kidnapped and brutally murdered at the hands of Larry Gene Bell. The search for this man drew national attention. A year later Dawn became Miss South Carolina and then 2nd Runner-Up in the Miss America Pageant. CBS produced a made-for-TV feature film entitled "Nightmare in Columbia County" based on this time period in Dawn's life.

Dawn has appeared in a Billy Graham Crusade, on the 700 Club, In Touch with Dr. Charles Stanley, opened concerts for renowned artists such as Phillips, Craig and Dean and shared the platform with many of today's most well-known Christian speakers such as Beth Moore, Kay Arthur and Anne Graham Lotz. She appeared on TLC's "What Not To Wear Miss Pageant Rewind" with Stacie Lundon and has been featured in countless magazines including Reader's Digest and most recently Just Between Us (a magazine for pastors' wives and other women in Christian leadership). Dawn shares her testimony and music in concert settings as well as women's ministry retreats all over the United States and internationally.
