Surah Al-Baqara & Translation

Surah Al Baqarah much as 286 verses came in Madinah were largely relegated at the beginning of the Hijrah, except paragraph 281 deployed in Mina on Hajji Wadaa '(pilgrim Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. the latter). The entire verse of Surah Al Baqarah belonged Madaniyyah, is the longest sura of the Qur'an suras in which there is also the longest paragraph (paragraph 282). Surah Al Baqarah is named because it is mentioned in the story of the slaughter of cows that God commanded the Children of Israel (verses 67 to 74), which explains the character of the Jewish people in general. Named Fusthaatul-Quran (Quran peak) because contains several laws that are not mentioned in the other surah. Named also surah Alif-Lam-Mim because it starts with the letter Alif-Lam-Mim.
