Suvenir Arad

Souvenir Arad is built around a selection of photographs and films dated to the period 1860 – 1919, from within the collection of the Arad Museum.

The Souvenir Arad project contains a set of 50 postcards (200 images), a chronology of Arad in book format, a map from 1752, an augmented reality application, a website and a multimedia exhibition in the kinema ikon hall of the Art Museum from Arad: video and slide projections, light boxes, interactive installation.

The AR app brings additional information. With the help of augmented reality, the user can follow a route in city to watch a 1913 movie made in the theater's area, or to compare the picture of the Cultural Palace with images of the last century, with construction plans. In the souvenir box, there are 50 postcards with images from the museum archive. With the app, you can scan the cards to find out information about buildings and architects.
