UNIDO Chainsaw Maintenance

Good chainsaw maintenance is important because a well maintained chainsaw operates more efficiently, saving time, fuel and oil whereas a badly maintained chainsaw is not only inefficient but may also be dangerous and even lethal to its operator.

As part of its revitalization of forest training centres in Southern Africa, the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) commissioned this App (there are three others in the series) to provide a mobile 3D teaching platform in order to train chainsaw operators in some key maintenance areas. This knowledge is presented in a way that is visual and engaging. This is learning in a “fun” way.
