Heap Dump & Method Trace is a developer tool for profiling applications. You can take heap dumps and record method traces. Root is required.

Heap dumps and method traces may only be obtained from debuggable applications. The Pro version allows you to convert release applications into debuggable applications but this may not work with every application.

The Pro version also allows scheduled heap dumps and method traces.

If you don't know what heap dumps and method traces are this app is probably not for you.

Android heap dumps must be converted into standard Java format using the Android SDK tool hprof-conv. Only converted heap dumps can be opened in the Eclipse Memory Analyzer (MAT) tool. Trace files can be opened directly in the Android Device Monitor, which is part of the Android SDK. Traceview has been replaced by Android Device Monitor.
