Amul Doodh Sanjeevani

Doodh Sanjeevani Yojana is an initiative of Government of Gujarat (GoG) to tackle malnourishment prevailing in children and pregnant and lactating Women of Gujarat. The scheme is implemented by Tribal Development Department (TSP), Education Department (MDM) and Women and Child Development Department (ICDS) of Government of Gujarat. This scheme was launched in year 2007

Under this Yojana Double Tonned Pasteurized Homogenized Fortified Flavoured Milk is supplied to approx. 22 lacs children and 2.5 lacs Pregnant and lactating women covering 83 talukas of Gujarat, while approx. 12000 schools and 16000 angwanwadis are covered.

Through this scheme Government of Gujarat provides school going children 200 ml milk 5 days a week, while children of anganwadis are provided with 100 ml milk 5 days a week. Pregnant & Lactating women gets 200 ml milk for 2 days in a week. Under Doodh Sanjeevani Yojana, Government of Gujarat through Dairy co-operative of Gujarat is supplying the milk in 4 different flavors.
