Genshin Impact 5.6 servers go live on May 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM (UTC+8).
This new version update will be rolled out region-wise. Players from different parts of the world will experience maintenance and update timings adjusted to their local time zones. For example, players in New Delhi, India, will experience maintenance from 2:30 AM to 7:30 AM IST, while those in California, USA will see downtime from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM PST on May 6.

Maintenance End Time & Compensation Rewards
To implement the 5.6 update, miHoYo conducted a five-hour server maintenance starting from 6:00 AM (UTC+8) and ending at 11:00 AM (UTC+8) on May 7.
Once maintenance ends, the update goes live, and players can log in to enjoy new content. During this period, your game account will be unable to log in. Anyone currently online will be automatically logged out.

This downtime is essential for integrating new content, fixing bugs, and optimizing game performance. Players are advised to plan their gameplay accordingly to avoid losing progress or missing out on limited-time events that may start immediately after maintenance.
As a token of appreciation for their patience during the maintenance, miHoYo will reward all players who have reached Adventure Rank 5 or above before the maintenance begins with 300 Primogems. Primogems are the premium currency in Genshin Impact, used for character and weapon wishes, making this compensation valuable. These rewards will be delivered via the in-game mailbox and will remain claimable until the end of the 5.6 update cycle, giving players ample time to collect them.
