The game is made for the fans of puzzles, board, tiles, squares, numbers, both adults and kids for free.

The goal of the game is to drag tiles on a grid, to combine the tiles of the same values and create a tile with the number 3072. However, the player can continue to play after reaching this goal to make the best score possible.

Threes Puzzle game is played on a grid of 4 × 4 squares, with tiles of different colors and values (but always powers of three) that can be moved with a sliding animation when the player presses the arrow keys on his keyboard ( or with the touch function on tablets and smartphones). For the highest values, the tiles glow slightly after the merger of the two previous tiles and change color.

The gameplay of the game relies on the use of the arrow keys on the keyboard (or the touch function on tablets and smartphones) to move the blocks to the left, right, up or down. During a movement, all the blocks on the board are moved in the same direction until they meet the edges of the board or another tile in their path. If two tiles, having the same number, collide during the movement, they merge into a new tile of double value (eg two tiles of value "3" give a tile of value "6"). At each move, a tile with a 1 or 2 appears in an empty box randomly.

The game, simple at the beginning, becomes more and more complex, because of the lack of space to move the tiles, and possible handling errors, which can lead to blocking of the tiles and therefore the end of the game to more or less long term, depending on the skill of the player. Yet, although very time-consuming, Threes Puzzle has the particularity of never making failure frustrating, on the contrary: starting again to try a new strategy is part of the fun.

The game is won when a tile with the value "3072" appears on the grid, hence the game name 3072. You can still play with tiles of higher values (6144, 12288, etc.). When the player no longer has legal movement (no more empty spaces or adjacent tiles with the same value), the game ends.
