Cloud World

Welcome to Cloud World by Equinix. This is a trade show game experience built entirely on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and hosted by Equinix in our data center to demonstrate the flexibility and performance of the GCP.

The game is to be used during Next a worldwide Google Roadshow running in June 2015 to bring developers, business decision makers and CXOs together to discuss how Google’s Cloud Platform can help their business.

The mobile application is to be used during the roadshow to allow participants to engage via the application with other participants and via social media with the ultimate goal of topping the leader board within the game to win a Google Chromebook.

There are several ways players can increase their standing within the game:

Battle:

Players can battle other conference attendees in a simulated conflict to gain experience points.

Power Up:

Players can improve their chances of winning a battle by gaining crucial powers.

Double-Shot: take a brief survey and gain two shots per turn during battle

Force Field: connect to Google+, LinkedIn or Twitter to gain a force field

Offensive Power: increase your chances of scoring a hit by posting about the event to social media

Defensive Power: increase your chances of avoiding a hit by requesting our presentation at Next and supporting collateral to be emailed to you.

Orb of Infinite Cloud:

Finally, players can obtain the Orb of Infinite Cloud by visiting the Equinix booth to scan the QR code for the Epic item and bonus points to help them gain control of the leader board.
