CMA Flashcards are used to prepare for the Medical Assistant Certification Exam.

ertified medical assistants work in physicians’ offices, clinics, or other healthcare facilities. They are responsible for performing physician support services that help ensure medical facilities run smoothly. Certified medical assistants may work in a clerical, administrative, or clinical capacity, and may even be asked to perform more specialized tasks.

The Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA)—or CMA (AAMA)—credential represents a medical assistant who has been credentialed through the Certifying Board (CB) of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).

The credential is awarded to candidates who pass the CMA (AAMA) Certification/Recertification Examination.
