Learn how cyber-attacks occurs and how to prevent them. There are five main phases for cyber-attacks, and we will be trying to demonstrate these phases in a general way. In order to start the attack will have to scan and collect data about the target with the tools available. Then try to gain an unauthorized access and bypass the targets defense, each user will have their own defense mechanism depending on how long they have been playing the game. You must maintain your access on a victim by constantly checking on the target and how far you have progressed. Lastly You must clean up your tracks so no evidence, from where the attack came, is left. In the case of defending from the attacks you will have to check your logs from any attacks that have happened and check the antivirus tool often. As a defender you also must have a strong password that is will not get your bank account hacked easily through brute force attacks, therefore you will be able to upgrade your password with their defense/anti-virus system and other tools while progressing. You will also have to understand the way cyber-attacks happen and not fall for any traps, like emails, that can breach their defense system.
