柏拉图的游叙弗罗是苏格拉底和游叙弗罗之间的苏格拉底式讨论。
Socrates encounters Euthyphro on the King Archon's porch in this exchange. Socrates informs him that he is ready to go to court to defend himself against Meletus' impiety charges. Euthyphro informs Socrates that he would go to court to prosecute his father for enslaving a worker and abandoning him to death. This has aroused the wrath of his own family, who believe his father was correct. They think that because the worker killed a coworker, they are immune from liability for abandoning him in the ditch to starve to death. Socrates asks Euthyphro to define piety because he appears to be confident in himself. In the courtroom, his assistance will clarify Socrates' argument.
