A device for facial recognition is a technology capable of recognising or verifying an object from a video source from a digital image or a video frame. There are various techniques in which facial recognition systems operate, but they work by matching selected facial characteristics from a given image with faces within a database in general. It is also defined as an application based on Biometric Artificial Intelligence that can identify an individual uniquely by analysing patterns based on the facial textures and shape of the person.
