Good Friday is celebrated on the Friday before Easter which is the day on which Christians annually celebrate the anniversary of the Crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ at Golgotha. Since the beginning of Christianity, Good Friday has been interpreted as a day of sorrow, atonement, and holiness.
