Messinator

• 'Messinator' is a lightweight application to provide you with an up-to-date mess menu. Instead of resorting to spamming the main-chat on DC hubs every day at mealtimes, relying on outdated menus, or memorizing a new menu twice a month, use Messinator to know what's cookin' in either mess at any given time.

• Set-up push notifications to automatically get the menu at mealtimes, thereby eliminating the need for you to open the app multiple times a day. Customize the notifications you wish to receive: you may select any combination of meals and days you wish to be notified for, and at any given time for a meal, for example, lunch on Sundays at 1 PM, snacks on all days at 5:15 PM, every meal on Monday, and so on. Also included are a handful of inbuilt schemes, for example, a notification scheme that alerts you every time the mess of your choice is serving a non-veg meal.

• You can also choose to be notified on a per-menu-item basis. Love gorging on Samosas but can't remember what day they're served on with every bi-monthly menu change? Just set up a notification for 'Samosas' once, and never miss a meal with Samosas in it. All items you wish to be notified for remain saved, so even if the menu is updated and a favourite dish of yours is moved to a different day and/or meal, you'll still be notified at the right time.

• You can also share the menu with anyone you want. Messinator allows you to send—with two simple taps—any meal, from any particular day and/or time, to anyone via any standard messaging service.

• Menus of 5 on-campus eateries (Night Canteen - A, Night Canteen - C, Persian Court, Ice n' Spice, and Institute Cafeteria) are included in the app, with the ability to search for any specific item across all menus, allowing you to compare prices and menus across eateries.
