My Special Corner

My Special Corner specializes on working with students who have Learning Difficulties, Autism, ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, behavioural and sensorial problems.

Our programs are based mainly on the MLE, TEACCH and ABA method for students from as young as 3 years old to adulthood. The ABA method is a structured program that works on students’ social & behavioural skills. As for the TEACCH method, its trademark is its focus on individualism and implementation of unique learning programs for each child. TEACCH accommodates to the unique needs of each child by creating learning methods that complement the individual’s learning style as closely as possible.

MLE is developed by Dr Reuven Feuerstein, an Israeli psychologist who believed that intelligence is modifiable and not fixed. MLE is responsible for the diversification of cognitive styles, modes of experiencing self and others, and ways of responding to stimuli. In this, students are more capable to “think about” the events rather than just dealing with them directly. The consequence of this is to enable the learner to incorporate a great variety of orientations and strategies into hisherbehavioural repertoire, which become crystallized in strategies for learning, and constitute higher thinking skills.

In customizing our programs, we aim to reach out and strengthen the weaker areas of our students. Classes are conducted either individually or in small groups of not more than 8 students.

We provide both academic and non-academic programs for our clients.
