Perguruan Merpati Putih

Merpati Putih (MP) is one of the nation's cultural assets. This type of martial arts began to form around the 1550s and needs to be preserved and developed in line with the development and progress of science and technology today.

Merpati Putih Bare Hand Martial Arts, whose organization was formed on April 2 1963 in Yogyakarta, is a cultural value of the Indonesian nation which was passed down by the Guru Saring Hadi Purnomo to his two sons, namely Poerwoto Hadi Purnomo and Budi Santoso Hadi Purnomo (deceased).

The meaning of Merpati Putih itself is an abbreviation in Javanese, namely Patitising Tindak Pusakane Titising Hening, which means "Searching until finding the truth in tranquility."

So that its members are expected to align their hearts and minds in all their actions.
