This app is designed for use by children with the permission and under the supervision of their parent or guardian. We collect very limited personal data in connection with use of the app and we don’t use it for marketing or targeted advertising. We collect information provided to us by you or your child through the app when registering or submitting content. Comments, videos, pictures and photos can be submitted through the app for publication on the app or on our Swipe TV television programme. Comments, videos, pictures and photos can only be submitted by someone with a registered profile / account. All content is moderated by RTÉ before publication. We always ask for a parent or guardian’s express permission before publishing videos, pictures or photos that identifies an individual. It is important accordingly that a correct email address is given for the parent / guardian when registering. We also collect de-personalised information so we can tell, through aggregated statistical analysis, what parts of the app and which content (e.g. videos and games) are most popular. This is done using simple text files which sit on your device. They are safe and secure and don’t contain any sensitive information. We do this to improve the app and also to drive content on our Swipe TV television programme.
