Spokespeople（Unreleased）

Spokespeople is a Newcastle University research project that makes it easy for people who cycle to report experiences that are important to them while they are on the bike. This might include near misses, feeling unsafe, problems with infrastructure or positive experiences. Ultimately, we want to understand the issues that are important to people who cycle in Newcastle and to use that information to advocate for cycling.

The Spokespeople system involves a Bluetooth button on your bike and an android app. Pressing the button records the time and location of the incident. Click once to add more details in the app later. Click twice to launch the app so you can tell us about your experience straight away including by recording audio. The information that you provide is mapped on the spokespeople.uk website. We will then work to make sense of it alongside Newcastle City Council and local cycling organisations.
