TumTum Tracker

TumTum Tracker is a smartphone application for tracking campus transportation services, known as Tum-Tums, in IIT Bombay. This application relies on crowdsourcing over commuters' smartphones as against the traditional approach of installing GPS on buses for computing their real-time schedule.

TumTum Tracker enables its users to search for tum-tums departing from any bus stop at any preferred time, view tum-tum routes on Google maps, subscribe for a particular trip so as to get notified about available tum-tums. It also enables its users to submit their feeds when they board a tum-tum. Such a information when crowdsourced enables us to compute the real-time schedule.

The application is in development phase and the tum-tum schedule displayed is based on static data. The application will be updated soon to display the real-time schedule of tum-tums.
