Workplace English Tic-Tac-Toe 2.0

“Workplace English Tic-Tac-Toe 2.0” is a mobile application which combines English learning with entertaining elements.

With a view to facilitating self-learning of workplace English by working adults who lack the time to enrol in conventional courses and to enhance their English skills for effective communication in the workplace, the Workplace English Campaign launches the mobile application titled “Workplace English Tic-Tac-Toe 2.0”, of which the contents are based on the Specification of Generic (Foundation) Competencies (SGC) for English. The content and functions of the mobile application are as follows:

Practical English conversation applicable to various industries and workplace context

Bilingual (English and Chinese) transcripts of workplace conversation

Audio recordings of workplace conversation vocalised by native speakers of English

Audio recording and playback by users

Comparison of game results among users

The Workplace English Campaign is funded by the Language Fund and steered by the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR).
