Xeno Tactic不遵循通用的塔防游戏风格。在Xeno Tactic中，您负责放置在网格上的炮塔的位置，这反过来又使您能够为Xenos创建自己的路径。您创建的路径越复杂，完成关卡的机会就越大。
您不仅可以影响Xenos遵循的路径，而且还需要管理您的财务，并决定建造更多炮塔或升级现有炮塔是否更可行。不同炮塔的战略布局是关键，因为每个炮塔都有自己的位置和特殊能力。
在当前状态下，游戏支持：
* 所有怪物类型的主动寻路
* 5种不同类型的炮塔，每种炮塔具有不同的特殊能力和特征
* 6个级别，每个级别难度越来越大
* 升级炮塔，增加伤害、射程和射速
