  • Fixed a startup failure that could leave the app on a black screen, clearable only by reinstalling. Your highlights, notes and reading positions stay where they are.
  • Books picked from the file browser now import even when the file name has no extension — Readexa reads the file itself to tell an EPUB from a PDF.
  • Fixed the Today card losing its margins in landscape.

  • Readexa Pro: one purchase, yours for good. More voices, your book files on Drive, every export format, and distraction-free reading.
  • Back up and sync through your own Google Drive. Move to a new phone with your library and progress intact, and stop a sync mid-run.
  • Tablets and foldables open two pages side by side.
  • Arabic and Urdu now turn pages, read aloud and highlight in right-to-left order.
  • Faster launch.

  • Reconnect now really restores the books it re-links. A book that is perfectly fine no longer opens to "No content found in this EPUB file".
  • Android will not grant apps the Download folder or your whole phone storage. When that happens, you can now pick your book files directly instead.
  • Reading progress, highlights and notes stay attached throughout.

  • One stats page for your reading: a full-year heat map, your twelve-week rhythm, personal records and the calendar together.
  • Streaks now count by the week, not the day, so one busy day no longer resets you. Listening counts as reading.
  • Break a streak and Readexa offers a weekly goal to start again.
  • Books whose files the app lost track of reconnect instead of going missing.
  • Fixes: crashes in comics, PDFs and ad loading.
