  • Fixed a startup failure that could leave the app on a black screen, clearable only by reinstalling. Your highlights, notes and reading positions stay where they are.
  • Books picked from the file browser now import even when the file name has no extension — Readexa reads the file itself to tell an EPUB from a PDF.
  • Fixed the Today card losing its margins in landscape.

  • Tablets and foldables open two pages side by side.
  • Arabic and Urdu now turn pages, read aloud and highlight in right-to-left order.
  • Faster launch.

  • Reconnect now really restores the books it re-links. A book that is perfectly fine no longer opens to "No content found in this EPUB file".
  • Android will not grant apps the Download folder or your whole phone storage. When that happens, you can now pick your book files directly instead.
  • Reading progress, highlights and notes stay attached throughout.
