Legal ruqyah is the use of supplications and supplications mentioned in the Qur’an and Sunnah to heal from mental and physical illnesses, and it is one of the methods used in Islamic psychiatry.

Examples of dhikr used in legal ruqyah are:

Say: Allah suffices me, and He is the best disposer of affairs

I seek refuge in the perfect words of God from the evil of what He has created

The legal ruqyah can be used by reciting over water or oil, or by breathing in the affected place, or by touching the affected place with the hand, and it is advised that the sick person be in a state of purity, reverence, and sincerity in treatment with the legal ruqyah.

It should be noted that legal ruqyah is not considered a substitute for the necessary medical treatment for the disease, but rather an important addition to the psychological and physical treatment.
