About the Hashemite University:

The Hashemite University is one of the public universities in Jordan, established in 1995, located in the city of Zarqa. The university follows the credit hour system, and each college has its own number of hours required for the student to study for each college to obtain the degree. The Hashemite University is the first Jordanian university to adopt the summer semester system in university education until it was canceled in 2018 according to the instructions of higher education at the university level and was replaced by one summer semester of 10 weeks instead of eight and a maximum of 12 hours for this semester. The university has a postgraduate program that awards a master's degree in a number of specializations. The university also has a parallel program system for Jordanian students who have a Jordanian high school degree or an equivalent certificate, in addition to the international program for non-Jordanian students who have a Jordanian high school degree or an equivalent certificate. The university graduated its first cohort in 1999, and the number of graduates until the nineteenth cohort exceeded 60 thousand

About the Faculty of Economics

It is a college that aims to prepare students and qualify them in various fields of economic sciences and provide them with a high level of knowledge in their field of specialization in line with scientific and technical progress in the world.

And the term “economy” linguistically means mediating between extravagance and thrift (it came in Mukhtar Al-Sihah: “The intention is between extravagance and thrift.” It is said that so-and-so is frugal about alimony”), and the term “economy” has many definitions, but the most general and comprehensive definition of the characteristics of the modern modern economy is the definition of (Lionel Robbins). In an article published in 1932, he said: “Economics is a science concerned with the study of human behavior as a relationship between ends and scarce resources with multiple uses.

Its duration of four years ends with granting the student a bachelor's degree (Bachelor's) in economics. In the first and second years of the first stage, students are taught general economic curricula, principles of accounting, economics, and mathematical, economic and statistical sciences. Computer use courses are also taught in the economic and accounting fields. In the third and fourth years, the study in the college is divided into five specializations, and the student has to choose one of the following departments: Department of Banking and Finance Sciences Department of Statistics and Programming Department of Business Administration Department of Economics and Planning Department of Accounting.
