The Tripitaka is a scripture that records the teachings of the Buddha, the Tripitaka, which means three baskets, because the content is divided into 3 main categories:

Suttantapitaka Concerning the Sutras, which are the sermons of the Buddha and the Arahants shown to people of different castes and education different karma, different agenda There are both prose and poetry.

Abhidhamma Pitaka Concerning the Abhidhamma or Paramattha Dharma which is an advanced dharma Explained purely theoretically without reference to events and people.

The teachings of the Buddha in the early days were called the Dhamma Vinaya. Until the third council, the area related to the paramattha dharma was divided into another category called the Abhidhamma Pitaka.

in early Buddhism Each sect has its own scriptures, some sects have 5 Pitakas, some have 7 Pitakas, but the complete Tripitaka that has been passed down to the present is only the Theravada Pali Tipitaka.

At present, the word Tripitaka Used to refer to scriptures in Buddhism as a whole. There are a total of 3 chapters which are:

Pali Tripitaka used in the Theravada sect

Chinese Tripitaka used in the Mahayana sect

Tibetan Tripitaka used in Tibetan Buddhism
