We provide air quality indicators from monitoring stations across Taiwan.

AQI: Comprehensive Air Quality Index

SO2: sulfur dioxide (ppb)

CO: carbon monoxide (ppm)

O3: Ozone (ppb)

PM10: suspended particulates (μg/m3)

PM2.5: Fine Suspended Particles (μg/m3)

NO2: Nitrogen dioxide (ppb)

NO: Nitric oxide (ppb)

The potential health effects of air pollution range from subtle physical changes in the body to overt symptoms such as itchy nose and throat, wheezing, coughing, chest pain or tightness. People with asthma or chronic respiratory diseases can get worse when they are exposed to air pollutants. Although the extent to which different people are affected by air pollution depends on different factors, people of different ages are affected by poor air quality, and air pollution has a greater impact on children and the elderly.
