About Ateez:

ATEEZ (PR: eɪ-tiˈz) (Hangul: 에이티즈 RR: eitijeu), is an 8-member boy group from South Korea under the company KQ Entertainment. The group is composed of eight members: Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung and Jongho. They debuted on October 24, 2018 with Treasure EP.1: All to Zero. On November 2, the group performed their song, "Pirate King", on KBS2's Music Bank.

As a pre-debut group, ATEEZ were originally called "KQ Fellaz" after their label, KQ Entertainment. They were promoted under this name prior to their debut.

On July 3, 2018, their name was changed to ATEEZ, which stands for “A TEEnager Z. On November 17, 2018, the group revealed through a live show by using an app named VLIVE, that the name for their fans would be “ATINY,” a combination of the group name and the word “destiny.”
