Balboa Park Time Machine

The Balboa Park Time Machine presents historic materials from the original 1915 Panama-California Exposition and the 1916 Panama-California International Exhibition to the tourist based on current position within the park and direction of view. Historic materials from the San Diego History Center, The Committee of 100, the Museum of Man and others are provided, including photographic images, movies,and textual descriptions.

Over 400 items (about 300 MBytes) from all over the exposition grounds will be transferred to your device so that no network connection is required during an actual visit to the park. Each item is presented in the same physical location as originally installed and images are presented based on your current view direction, creating a "magic camera" effect as you pan around each area.

The Historical park map and current satellite overlay automatically track your current position in the park and tell you what was originally at your current location.
