ClearID Security

ClearID provides complete ownership of your online information, preferences, and systems. It is an identity creation and validation system that empowers the owner to keep and control their personally identifiable information in a system that they control with no 3rd party interference.

ClearID also has a Chrome extension. To install the Chrome extension follow the steps below.

Chrome Extension (Install on your Computer):

1. Open the Google drive link and download `chrome-extension.zip`
2. Once downloaded, double-click to unzip it
3. Follow the instructions here

Authorizing the Chrome Extension

1. Click on the ClearID fingerprint icon in Google Chrome. A QR code will show up.
2. Click on "Settings" in the Android app and "Scan QR Code"
3. Scan the code
4. Use your fingerprint to approve the extension

Importing Passwords

1. Click on the ClearID fingerprint icon in Google Chrome
2. Click on Settings > Import Passwords
3. Choose the application you want to import from; follow the instructions that appear

Logging In

1. Click on the ClearID fingerprint icon in Google Chrome
2. Type part of the website name in the search box
3. Click on the "key" icon (furthest to the right) next to the log in you want to use
4. The extension will navigate you to the website and find the login page
5. Next, you will get a push notification on your phone
6. Click on the notification and the app will ask you for approval
7. Click "Approve"
8. Use your fingerprint to approve the login
