Ubuntu One is a service that allows users to log in using their OpenID to many different Canonical websites, and is run by Canonical Ltd. Ubuntu One is also a service that allows users to upload data "to the cloud" and have files and music hosted. This service allows users to upload files online, synchronize them between computers and mobile devices, and transfer audio and music from the cloud to mobile devices. Canonical said that the cloud and its sync feature will be retired on July 31, 2014, indicating that the feature will still be available.
