Robert Lewandowski (in Polish /ˈrɔbɛrt lɛvanˈdɔfskʲi/), born August 21, 1988 in Warsaw, is a Polish international footballer playing as a striker at FC Barcelona and in the Polish selection. He is considered one of the best center-forward in the world, thanks to his formidable all-round play in the opponents' penalty areas.

Trained in Warsaw Varsovia and two other clubs in the capital, Robert Lewandowski is spotted in the Polish second division by the recruiters of Lech Poznań, while playing Znicz Pruszków. After joining Poznań in the summer of 2008, he immediately took an international stature, playing his first match in selection a few months later. In two seasons, he won three trophies including a championship, and played about fifteen European matches. Top scorer of the league in 2010, he left for Borussia Dortmund in the summer. With the German club, he becomes champion in the first season, wins in the Bundesliga as one of the best scorers in Europe and plays the most prestigious continental competitions, the Champions League.
