London System

Universal openings have the advantage that they do not require memorizing movements and therefore they are easy to learn since they are based on systems or positions of pieces that are generally independent of our opponent response in the first movements. These first movements can be performed very quickly and therefore these types of universal openings are widely used in blitz and bullet games, although they are also widely used in classical rhythms.

The London System is a universal opening that can be played with white pieces by both beginners and advanced players and at any pace of play. The current world champion in chess has it in his repertoire and uses it very frequently, which is why it has become a fashionable opening. The London System can be considered a Slav Defense or more specifically a Baltic Defense with the colors of the pieces changed and a time of more.
