Mind Active - Dementia Game

Mind Active – Dementia Game has three basic functions:

1. An interchangeable photo library, that has a form for entering information about the photos downloaded;

2. A Memory Match card game with 8 levels of ease/difficulty to choose from, depending on the user's ability;

3. A multiple choice question and answer Trivia Quiz based on the photos that have been uploaded in the user’s library.

Reminiscence Therapy has been shown in several published studies to be a positive pastime, which provides many benefits to people living with dementia, from reducing anxiety to improving mood, extending concentration span and providing additional time for caregivers to prepare meals etc. These studies have also shown that games to exercise the mind can assist in slowing the onset of dementia and that using digital devices also improves user engagement and attention span.
