Xand Airplane was born in 1982 in Itaú, Rio Grande do Norte. Later, he moved to Apodi, also in Rio Grande do Norte and, later, to Exu, in Pernambuco.

Xand began his career as a vocalist in the band Musical Style, with whom he partnered on vocals with singer Ferreirinha, who later became vocalist of the band Forró Diferente & Ivan Fernandes, from Apodi. It was in 2002 that he was invited to sing along with Solange Almeida in the new band, Avião do Forró.

Xand is married to Isabele Temóteo. From this union were born José Enzo and Maria Isabella. Besides them, Xand has two sons: Adryan Alexandre and Aguida Hadassa. Currently resides in Fortaleza.
