Teacher Johan

Throughout the years, many researches, studies and forum discussions about the topic of Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL) has been carried out to identify the sufficient way of implementing and benefiting it for effective language learning. Therefore, this research which aimed to elucidate the effectiveness of collaborating mobile technology and animation, specifically the 3D talking-head in assisting English language learning among non-native speakers have produced a conceptual framework namely 3D-THMA. Based on the framework, series of 3D talking-head mobile app namely Teacher Johan was developed. Teacher Johan is an Android App which functions as a virtual teacher in the form of 3D talking-head to assist non-native speakers in enhancing vocabulary and improving English pronunciation skills. Each volume consists of 10 words. The app will be published in series subsequently. Basically, drills strategy was used as the pedagogical approach in Teacher Johan.
