YS JAGAN THE PEOPLE'S LEADER

Yeduguri Sandinti Jagan Mohan Reddy (born December 21, 1972) is an Indian politician and Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, representing the Pulivendula constituency. Y.S Jagan is the President of the YSR Congress Party.He is the son of the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Dr.Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. Jagan started his political career by campaigning for congress leaders in 2004 elections in all over Kadapa District. In 2009 he was elected to the Parliament from Kadapa constituency. His political career took a new innings with the demise of his father and Chief minister Y.S Rajasekar Reddy. After the death of the mass leader, the congress party's central leadership chose to have Mr. Rosiah as the chief minister against the wishes of an overwhelming majority of party MLAs. The party high-command’s decision of appointing K. Rosaiah at the helm after YSR’s death did not obviously go down well with many of the party MLAs, they wanted Jagan to be installed. Y S Jagan quit the congress on November 28, 2010 for demoralizing his father's character and established YSR Congress Party on March 12, 2011. In 2014 Elections, YSRCP contested single against Tdp-Bjp-Janasena alliance and won 67 MLA seats and 9 MP seats. Presently Y S Jagan is acting as Leader of Opposition in Ap Legislative Assembly and He is fighting against the anti people policies of Tdp govt.
