  Mis à jour le Sep 28, 2026

Offline Parakeet dictation: a downloadable model writes almost as well as online dictation, sends nothing anywhere, works with no network and punctuates on its own.
On-device dictation: an offline-only engine, spoken punctuation, and editing text by voice.
Braille keyboard: the dots follow how you hold the phone.
Letter keyboard: a row of digits, and the app now resizes above the keys.
Fixes: sound settings crashing, the dialer keypad, and announcements wrongly silenced.

  Talk Forward 26.8.1
  • New, in beta: the visual agent. Say what you want to do on screen, it looks for the control, tells you what it found, and you confirm with a two-finger double tap. On a grid (image CAPTCHA) it describes cell by cell.
  • New: holding a volume key runs an action.
  • New: pivot rotor — rest one finger, turn the other around it.
  • Speech: relay engines such as Auto TTS are no longer wrongly replaced by Google TTS.
  • Translations up to date in 28 languages.

  Talk Forward 26.7.11
  • Stability: a failure in one feature can no longer switch the screen reader off. Fixes a crash that made Talk Forward restart repeatedly after a reboot, before the first unlock (reported on Xiaomi).
  • New, experimental: screen recognition. Switch it on per app from the "Screen recognition" rotor entry to navigate an app that exposes no usable accessibility data. Swipe to move, double-tap to activate.

  New since 26.7.4:
  • Speak at the lock screen after a cold boot — choose the startup engine, its speed, pitch and volume
  • Braille chord preview: hear each letter as the dots settle, before you lift
  • Faster spoken feedback as you tap and slide across the screen
  • Single-finger angle gestures are back
  • Restore your supporter purchase from Google Play (automatic too)

Fixes: no more occasional "1 2 3" while reading or navigating; your chosen voice is reliably restored after you unlock.
