Get outdoors, open GPS Impetus wait for a GPS fix, press Start then exit to leave the app running in the background and its adaptive, intermittent GPS access will keep your phone's GPS warm and your last known location recent and accurate so all other apps can get locations quicker.
GPS Impetus runs periodically in the background so it inevitably uses a little battery. Try it for a few hours then check out battery use in your settings. You will find that GPS Impetus really doesn't use much battery.

Now passes location to Compass for declination calculation
Algorithm now simply aims that you have had a GPS fix in the last 10 mins (approx) so User Settings redundant
All settings re-defaulted on this release so please check
