GPS Impetus

Spend less time waiting for GPS in our own Near HERE app and in your Bus, Train, Map, Navigation, and location-based Augmented Reality apps and improve the last known location on your device (requires location permission).

Get outdoors, open GPS Impetus wait for a GPS fix, press Start then exit to leave the app running in the background and its adaptive, intermittent GPS access will keep your phone's GPS warm and your last known location recent and accurate so all other apps can get locations quicker.

GPS Impetus runs periodically in the background so it inevitably uses a little battery. Try it for a few hours then check out battery use in your settings. You will find that GPS Impetus really doesn't use much battery.
