Kosher Browser

Kosher Browser is a full, fast browser (Gecko engine) that only shows permitted content.

Three filter levels, chosen at setup and in Settings:

• Hermetic – only sites on the approved list.

• Extended – the approved list plus categories: news, shopping, banks, health.

• Basic – everything except blocked categories: social networks, video, gambling, proxies and VPN, unfiltered search engines, AI chat and images, and file sharing.

At every level, about 30,000 adult sites are blocked.

Family profiles:

• Parents create a profile for each child, with its own filters – for young children also "only the sites you chose".

• A daily browsing limit and downtime hours. A parent can add time with the password.

• "Who's browsing?" when the browser opens, with an optional 4-digit code for each child.

• Optional closing on Shabbat and Yom Tov for the whole family, at the times you choose.

• Extra sites parents allow per profile at the Hermetic and Extended levels, without lifting blocked categories.

Filters inside pages:

• Image hider: blur every image until tapped, or smart mode – AI that runs on the phone and shows only images without the people you chose to cover. Images are checked on the phone and never uploaded.

• Word filter: hides or blurs the parts of a page that mention words you choose, with a built-in list for children.

• Music filter: mutes videos and audio while music plays; speech stays audible. Sound is checked on the phone and never recorded.

• YouTube: block entirely, block Shorts, or approved channels only, plus Restricted Mode and ad blocking.

• Forced SafeSearch on Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Yahoo and Brave; search engines where it cannot be locked on are blocked.

• Ad and tracker blocking.

• A personal block list and your own message on the block page.

A better browser:

• History and bookmarks for each profile, kept only on this phone.

• Tabs come back after a restart; find in page, share, desktop site, pull to refresh.

• Download documents (PDF and Office) and upload files to websites.

Management:

• Blocked site? Send a request from the browser, the administrator approves, one sync opens it. An open site that should not be? Report it in one tap.

• Settings are password-locked, and so is "Clear storage" in Android settings; the administrator can reset the password remotely with a one-time code.

• Back up and restore settings and bookmarks to a file, and make Kosher Browser the default browser.

• Hebrew, English, French, Russian and Spanish. Works on small screens.

Completely free: no ads, no purchases, no monetization. No personal information is collected. Browsing history, profiles and screen time stay on your phone and are never sent, and nothing is handed to third parties. Built as a public service (זיכוי הרבים).
